REGGIOLO (RE), ITALY – May 11, 2026 – Villa Manfredini, the 18th-century architectural jewel in the heart of Reggiolo, continues to redefine the Italian culinary landscape. On Thursday, May 7, the Villa transformed into a high-level gastronomic stage, hosting a prestigious event led by Luca Grasselli of Cascina Lago Scuro, in an elite collaboration with Acetaia San Giacomo, Cinque Campi, and Bar Roma.


This event marks a decisive moment for Reggiolo, signaling its ascent as a destination for global food connoisseurs and luxury event planners.


A Symphony of Terroir and Innovation

The evening commenced with an avant-garde buffet by Cascina Lago Scuro, showcasing hyper-local identity through artisanal breads, home-produced charcuterie, and the signature Torta di Rose with lard and saba.


Inside the Villa’s historic halls, guests were treated to a masterclass in Emilian tradition reinvented. The menu featured a groundbreaking Rice with Emilian Verjus (“Agresto”) from Acetaia San Giacomo and offal ragout, followed by Guinea fowl with asparagus and liver pâté. The experience concluded with the legendary Torta di Rose with zabaglione, a hallmark of Cascina Lago Scuro’s excellence.


Liquid Art: Wine & Mixology

The sensory journey was elevated by Vanni Nizzoli (Cinque Campi), who curated the wine pairing with his Metodo Classico "Particella 128." Innovation also took center stage at the bar, where Cristian Bezzecchi debuted a barrel-aged Negroni refined with a reduction of Lambrusco Ugolino—a bold statement in contemporary Italian mixology.

The momentum continues on June 15th, when Villa Manfredini hosts the highly anticipated return of Chef Gianni D'Amato (Damatosteria). This is a historic homecoming: D’Amato led the world-renowned Il Rigoletto within these very walls from 1998 to 2012.


The lunch event will feature wine pairings by Giacomo Pavesi (Ostreria Fratelli Pavesi) and a showcase of Acetaia San Giacomo’s finest vinegars.
